A Deconstruction Assistant is available to you out in the world (except in Cyrodiil or Imperial City), or can be placed into your house for use.

You will not be able to summon the assistant while in your house; you must edit your house and place it there.

Only items that you are able to deconstruct will how in the deconstruction menu.

You can choose to display items that are in your bank storage if you checkmark the box that reads, 'Include banked items.' If you checkmark this box, both items in your inventory and in your bank that you can deconstruct will show. If you uncheckmark this box, only items from your inventory will show.

You can select a Crafting Category that will only display items for that category: Blacksmithing, Clothing, Jewelry, etc. Choosing no category (which is the default) shows you everything on a single page.

You can select a Type of item -- Weapons, Apparel, Glyphs, etc. -- to display only that type of item. If your Type is set to All (which is the default), everything will show on a single page.
