Most certainly, but he is always more than happy to help the new Tribute player learn about the game. After all, that just means he has more people to play against.

Lines Spoken by This Houseguest:
- "According to old Razhamad, it takes nine shuffles to make sure a deck's fully sorted and ready for play. Seems like kind of a lot to me. I figure three or four should do it. Less time shuffling leaves more time for complaining about bad draws!"
- "Been trying to think of an alternate means to earn income. I finally think I've got something. You ready? Street performer! Oh, yes! Figure I'll start small -- like, a living statue. I already stand around all day. Why not get paid for it?"
- "Can I give you a bit of friendly advice before you get too involved with the cards? You have a tell. It's subtle, but I can see it. The trick is to always imagine your opponent as the most boring person alive. Like, you know, the opposite of me."
- "Did you know that Dragons invented Tamriel's very first card game? Oh, it's true! They called it .. well, I don't know what they called it, but they used big slabs of shale as cards. I'm not making this up! Maybe Razhamad was, but I'm not!"
- "Do yourself a favor -- never bet on horse races. Or guar, or nixhounds, or giant spiders. Really any sport where the participants can run faster than you. Torchbugs are all right, though. Why? If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't know."
- "Don't tell anyone, but you know what I discovered recently that I just absolutely adore? Salad! I couldn't believe it. I mean, it's just a bowl of leaves, right? I feel like a goat or a deer or something eating them. But, they're so darn tasty!"
- "Ever been to Gonfalon Bay? It's fine, but I'd like it better if there was a decent mug of rotmeth to be had in the city. I mean, what's the problem? It's not like it requires a royal vineyard. Just squeeze some rats over a bucket and you're all set!"
- "Found any Tribute cards out there? I thought I found one in my boot the other day. Turns out it was just some barrister's calling card. Always a good thing to have on hand, I guess. For, you know ... legal emergencies."
- "Hey there, chum. This is quite a change from the Gonfalon Bay Gaming Hall, eh? Less gold changing hands, at any rate. Sorry, I can't seem to ever start a conversation and not have to lead to Tribute. A fatal flaw, I suppose."
- "I bet the Solitude Chapter of the Roisters Club wishes it could get its mitts on a player like you. Nobody likes playing there, though. Ever tried shuffling cards during a Skyrim freeze? It's no picnic in the park!"
- "I heard the Roisters Club is always hard at work on new decks of cards! The bookmakers are taking bets on what the next theme will be. I put ten gold on Vvardvarks. Long odds, I know. But the longer the odds, the greater the payout!"
- "Legends abound about decks of Tribute cards stashed in secret places in the wilderness. I'd go look myself, but secret places tend to be high up or full of dangerous creatures. Have I mentioned that I'm scared of heights? Eh, probably just a story."
- "Nice place this, eh chum? So, where do they keep the Tribute cards? I just like to examine other people's collections. Professional curiosity, you understand."
- "So glad I got the invite for this place. I needed a change of scenery. Less distractions here ... and fewer debt collectors. On a related note, if anyone comes around waving receipts and old ledgers, you haven't seen me."
- "Sounds like after that fracas on All Flags Islet, the peace talks can finally begin! Fingers crossed, eh? You know if it works out, they'll probably build a statue of you next to Bendu's -- after they fix it. Shame about the earthquake and all."
- "Tribute is all well and good, but clearly, adventuring is the smart play -- financially, I mean. Just look at this place! Maybe I should give it a go. I could probably take out a Goblin. Maybe. Gods, Goblins bite, don't they? Never mind."
- "Want to hear something weird? Just the other night I had a dream that I was the patron of a Tribute deck! Only problem, the theme of the deck was financial ruin. Don't need to visit a soothsayer to figure that one out."
- "Want to work your way up the Tribute rankings? Just don't forget your old pal Brahgas when you get to the top! It can get lonely up there. Or so I hear. My relationship with the top is more, you know ... conceptual."
- "Word of advice -- never take a Black Marsh Argonian for granted when it comes to cards. I can't tell you how many people fall for the whole, I'm-a-simple-lizard-lost-in-the-big-city routine."
- "You know, cards are great, but my true passion is dice. It's primordial, understand? Throwing bones, reading little scrawls on the faces. Makes you feel a bit like a mystic. Or a cultist. One or the other."
- "You really showed those Ascendant Order fools what for! Nice going, chum! You know, we'd be better off if everyone decided to settle their differences with a game of Tribute. Less blood that way. Well, a little less, anyway."
- "Z'en's price, just look at this place! How do anyone afford it? I mean, even for a fair hand at cards like me, this is ridiculous!"
Unconfirmed Lines Spoken by This Houseguest:
- "How's everyone's favorite Tales of Tribute champion doing? You've got that golden glow about you. My glow? Still purple and mottled green, thanks for asking. I'm not complaining, though. Better to be bruised and free than bruised and indentured!"
- "Thanks again for taking care of Sorinne. If we'd lost her ... gods. It would be like getting our hearts cut out. And not carefully extracted after we're dead. I'm taking about really getting in there. Like, with a flint knife and a soup spoon."
- "There's my second favorite cardsharp! You're really going to put the Gonfalon Chapter on the map. I've got a feeling about you, and my feelings are -- strike that. My feelings are routinely wrong. It's why I shouldn't gamble!"
- "You really beat the stuffing out of Varnauld and his cronies! I bet that starchy prig will think twice before challenging the Gonfalon Chapter again! Let's hope he doesn't wait too long, though. I'd love to watch you thump him one more time!"
